Home Depot offers a wide range of workshops for both kids and adults all year round. Some of their upcoming workshops will teach you how to make your own holiday decor to not only save money but learn new skills. The Home Depot workshops are free to attend, and in many cases you get to take home your finished creations once you completed the class.

Halloween Candy Stand

No need to hold your bag of candy to hand out all night if you have a custom decorative holder. Learn new woodworking skills including how to use a circular saw and brad nailer while creating your own wooden Halloween candy stand. The stand would look great on any porch as part of your fall decor, and trick-or-treaters will be delighted.

This class is scheduled for October 17th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at participating locations.

Christmas Tree Stand Box

Build a fashionable alternative to a simple tree skirt in an hour or less. This class will teach you everything you need to know to build your own Christmas tree stand box at home. You’ll learn to cut wood, add decorative elements, and how to build a basic frame during this hands-on course. Once you’ve finished the class, you’ll know exactly what to buy to make your own Christmas tree stand box at home.

This class is scheduled for November 16th from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at participating locations.
